ALAS FIELD NOTES / STAGE 02 / STRENGTHEN IT

Add structure while trust comes back.

You are moving again, but the ankle may not feel completely dependable yet. This stage is about useful backup while strength, control, and confidence keep catching up.

01 / WHAT MATTERS NOW

Structure should earn its place.

Compare how firmly each brace supports the ankle, how much shoe room it needs, and whether the fit works for the walking, work, training, or everyday movement you are actually doing.

02 / HOW TO CHOOSE

Do not shop by size alone.

A larger-looking brace is not automatically the stronger choice for your day. Look at the support pattern, adjustment points, shoe compatibility, and how much restriction you really want.

03 / WHAT COMES NEXT

The next test is real movement.

When the ankle is handling more speed, longer sessions, sport, or active days, the support question changes again.

ALAS rule: Start with the stage, then narrow by fit, shoe room, support feel, and the movement ahead. The biggest brace is not automatically the right brace.

General support-selection information only. It does not diagnose an injury or clear you for activity.
